What size are the wigs?

All of our wigs are for an average head size, unless otherwise stated:

Average: 54cm to 57cm (21" to 23")

The adjustable caps fit over 90% of wig users.

You can measure the circumference of your head using a tape measure. We recommend the measuring tape used to measure clothes.

When measuring your head, you want to remember where you want the wig to rest. For example, you would want the wig to rest just below your own hair line on your forehead and not on your hairline. If you did that, the wig would not look natural.

Circumference Ear to Ear Over Top
Front to Nape Temple to Temple Around Back
Ear to Ear Across Forehead Nape

How long does a fibre wig last?

How do I fit or put on my wig?

If you have short hair then there isn't much that you would need to do to your hair to ensure that your wig sits flat on your head.

However, if you have medium to long hair then you'll need to do something more to be able to fit your hair underneath your wig. The best way to make sure that you hair is flat under your wig, which allows your wig to sit naturally on your head, is to plait your hair into either 2 French braids or 4 smaller ones.

Then the wig cap is then an additional layer to keeping your hair flat.

How do I clean my wig?

Brush the wig starting at the ends and working your way up to the cap of the wig.

Add shampoo to wash basin and fill with warm water

Swish the wig gently never rub. Rinse gently in cold clear water twice or until thoroughly rinsed. Apply generous amount of wig conditioner and gently work through hair with fingertips Rinse thoroughly with warm water. Drain and blot gently with towel do not squeeze or wring. Allow to air dry, do not use hairdryer. Brush wig only when completely dry.

How do I style my wig?

Your wig can be styled by using a wire brush, a wire pick, or your fingertips. Your wig was designed with a basic style but the variations you can achieve through styling are limitless. Added height can be achieved by gently lifting with the brush. If you want added fullness as well, tease or back comb and then smooth the surface hair over the teasing. To return your wig to it's basic style simply brush thoroughly, clean and allow to air dry.

What is the difference between synthetic hair and human hair?

Synthetic: easy to maintain (wash-and-wear), less expensive than human hair, easy to style, pre styled. Human hair: more versatility, longer durability, custom styling and colouring available.

Is human hair better than synthetic?

Not necessarily... choosing between a human hair wig and a synthetic wig is more of personal preference. For example, a person looking for a wig that is easy to maintain and less expensive would choose a synthetic wig...a person looking for a wig they plan on wearing everyday and that they can curl themselves would choose a human hair wig.

Keep in mind that just because human hair wigs cost more it does not mean they are the "better" wig to buy. Many times a high quality synthetic wig looks more realistic than a low quality human hair wig.

Why are some wigs more expensive than others?

Like most items you purchase, price is a reflection of quality. The higher the quality.. the higher the price. There are many different types of materials than can be used to make wigs, including various types of fibres and human hair. For example, some synthetic fibre is softer and silkier than other types, therefore, making the wig more expensive. Some materials used inside the wigs are lighter weight and more durable, therefore, increasing costs, and some are hand-sewn.

How Often Should I Wash My Wig?

Generally you would wash your wig once a week or every 10 days, depending on how active you are.

If you exercise then you would be washing your wig every week. It all depends on how active your, what environments you are in, your comfort level of how often you are happy to wash your wig.

You may also want a second wig as a backup wig so that when one is being washed, you have another that you can wear.

You also need to remember that over washing can reduce the lifespan of your wig because the hair is not attached to your head. So that means that the hair is not getting the vitamins and nutrients from your body. This is why you don't need to wash everyday as you could do with your own hair.

How do I care for my Human Hair Wig?

We recommend that you purchase two human hair wigs. The length of time that a human hair wig will last depends on how it is cared for and how often it is worn. When caring for your wig always comb or brush them with the greatest of care, paying particular attention to the skin top and parting areas, especially if the hair is tangled. Hair should be brushed from the ends first working your way up to the main part of the wig.

Watch this short video which explains how to look after your Human Hair Wig.

Can I Use Mousse On My New Human Hair Wig?

We recommend that you don't use mousse on your human hair wig because it wil cause you to wash your wig more frequently. It is also junky so can accumilate at the roots of the wig and require many washes to remove it.

This short video give you more details.

Can I Send In A Hair Sample For You To Match My Hair Colour?

We only buy human hair wigs that have been produced by our manufacturuer.

Can the Wigs fall off your head?

This is a frequently asked question from newbie wig wears and the answer is "No".

The reason for this is because the cap of the wig is made from a stretch material, whether that is stretch wefts or a stretch cap. This allows the wig to stretch over your head and rest on it. This alone is usually enough for the wig to stay on your head.

However most, if not all wigs, come with some other forms of additional security, so that your wig stays in place:

1) Two adjustable straps at the back of the wig can be tightened for a more secure fit.

2) Either small clips or combs at each temple and sometimes one at the back of the wig.

3) Depending on the type of wig, you could be able to use double sided tape or liquid adhesive to fix the wig to your forehead or all around the circumference of you head.

This video, shows how well a wig will stay on your head on a super windy day. You'll be amazed how well this wigs works.

Are The Wigs Comfortable?

Yes very. Wigs have a breathable cap so that your head can breath underneath the wig.. The wigs are very lightweight so you sometimes forget that you are wearing it.

How should I have my hair under my wig?

You want your hair to be as flat to your scalp as possible, this allows the wig to look more natural when on your head.

Any wig that is bulky or sits to high on top of you head a poor looking wig.

The best way to keep your hair under your wig is to braid your hair. You have your hair in 2 thick braids, like 2 French braids or 4 thinner braids. Then any excess hair is bent back over your head and secured under your wig cap.

Either of the above options is easy and quick to do.

A wig cap will also help your hair to be flat under your wig, while also providing the friction your wig needs to stay in place.

This short video demonstrates how to braid your hair under your wig.

Can I Tell Which Wig Will Suit My Face Shape?

This is a question that you may have asked yourself or are not aware is an important thing to consider because not all wigs will suit all faces.

There are 4 face shapes and one of these will be yours:

Oval: This face shape will be suited to any type of wig. This is because an oval face shape doesn't have any dominant angles and is on proportion to the rest of the face.

Round: A round face will have wider hairlines and will appear to have a shorter neck and fuller cheekbones due to having a fuller figure. Long wispy hair at the sides makes the cheeks look slimmer and having the hair at the nape and sides close to the head suits a round face.

Square: With a wide jaw and hairline, you’ll need to break the straight wide lines with some height and wisps around the face.

Heat Shape: Wide at the cheekbones and forehead narrow at the jawline. Long hair will compliment a heart shaped face and also short bobs. Avoid any hair styles that emphasise the upper face.

What are the different caps?

From the different types of wigs that you can buy you'll find that there are four types of wigs caps that you can choose from. From these four types there will be spin offs but the core way that they are manufactured will be the same.

Machine made Wigs: These are the standard and most widely available types of wigs you can buy today. From the back of the crown of the head to the nape of the neck, the back of the wig, is made from wefts. The wefts allow the air to circulate around the head and your head to breath under the wig.

The crown to the forehead has a lace like material that has a skin top built into it so that it looks like you have a natural parting. Some wigs have a closure like parting so that also gives an appearance of a parting. At the forehead there will be a comfort strip of material that makes the wig sit comfortably on your head.

There are normally two adjustable straps at the back of the wig, which can be tightened for a more secure fit. Depending on the manufacturer you may also have either two combs or two snap clips attached to the wig at each temple, which you can clip to your hair underneath the wig for additional security.

Lace Front Wigs: Instead of there being a skin top at the crown of the wig there is lace, which can be either French or Swiss lace. The hair is then individually hand tied to this lace base, so that you can part the hair in any direction.

Glueless Lace Front Wigs: Glueless Lace Front Wigs are very similar to Lace Front Wigs with the main difference being that there are 4 small combs or snap clips attached to the wig. The clips or combs are at each temple at the crown of the head and also at the back of the wig. There are also 2 adjustable straps, with hooks, at the back of the wig that can be used to tighten the wig for a more secure fit,

Lace Wigs: The wig cap of a Lace Wig is made completely from either Swiss or French Lace. You also have an option where at the crown of the head is a stretch material or not. A Lace Wig will have to be glued to the skin below your hairline, if you have hair, in order for it to be secure on your head. You can use with either double sided tape or liquid adhesive. The lace around the edges of the wig will also need to cut back to the hairline that is on the wig, which is why it is important that the wig fits your head measurements others when you cut back the lace with your nail scissors you may find that the hairline of the wig is sitting on your own hairliine.

What's The Difference Between Virgin Remy Human Hair and Regular Human Hair Wigs?

Virgin Remy Hair refers to the quality of the hair you will be buying. With Virgin Remy Hair the hair is generally not processed and the hair is attached to your wig, ponytail extension or hair extensions all in the same direction.

When cuticles of the hair are attached to a hair piece all in one direction, this makes the hair less prone to tangling. If the hair doesn't tangle you will find that it last much longer.

With a non-Virgin Remy Human Hair Wig or hair piece the cuticles are not aligned in one direction and the hair will tangle. Plus non virgin remy hair can be of any quality and is general at the lower scale of quality.

Human hair wigs are cheaper than Virgin Remy Human Hair Wigs and you can tell that if the wig lasts for less than 6 months.

With a Virgin Remy Human Hair Wig you'll find that the hair will last for 12 months or more and is super silky soft.
